Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features for Android TV and mobile applications.
- Improve and maintain the existing application codebase.
- Monitor live-app performance and optimize applications at the code level.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, rectify bugs, and enhance application performance.
- Perform unit and instrumentation tests on code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and design high-quality features.
- Write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Stay current with mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of Android app development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android versions, screen-size adaptation, Android UI design principles, and Android design guidelines.
- Experience using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android NDK.
- Experience publishing applications on the Google Play Store.
- Experience with mobile architecture and design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVP.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and back-end service integration.
- Proficiency with Git and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Android components, data structures, debugging tools, and performance tools.
- Hands-on experience writing unit and Espresso tests.
- Experience with video streaming is an added advantage.
