Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and ship fixes and features in the C/C++ replication engine for PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server endpoints.
  • Diagnose and resolve production crashes, memory corruption, CDC failures, and data validation errors using core dump analysis, memory profilers, and systematic debugging.
  • Develop automated test coverage with the Scalable Test Platform, including large combinatorial test scenarios.
  • Deliver security fixes within SLA and contribute to vulnerability remediation, credential exposure prevention, and secure supply chain initiatives.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, release management, and deployment activities for large production fleets.
  • Collaborate with Database Engineers to reproduce and resolve customer-reported issues.
  • Use and contribute to AI-powered engineering tools for bug fixing and on-call support.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, triage production incidents, and drive issues to resolution.

Requirements

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language or experience in embedded development using C/C++.
  • Experience with database replication technologies such as CDC, logical replication, and log-based capture.
  • Experience remediating security vulnerabilities in production systems.
  • Experience building automated test frameworks or improving test coverage for complex systems.
  • Experience with memory safety tools such as AddressSanitizer, ThreadSanitizer, or Helgrind.
  • Experience operating services at scale, including multi-region deployments and large customer fleets.
  • Experience with release management and deployment pipelines for large fleets.
