Responsibilities
- Contribute code and technical solutions to incubation projects that advance NetApp’s technology strategy.
- Participate in proofs of concept that influence product roadmaps and long-term technology direction.
- Design and build large-scale, fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems for modern AI workloads.
- Decompose complex product requirements into practical solutions while considering system interdependencies and limitations.
- Participate in feature development, sustaining engineering, debugging, testing, engineering escalations, and early customer support.
- Collaborate with engineers and peer teams to solve technical issues and understand customer deployment scenarios.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience with Go, Python, and React.
- Familiarity with system software design and development, Unix/Linux system programming, multithreaded programming, and operating-system internals.
- Experience in the storage or cloud domain and expertise in algorithms, data structures, and multithreaded programming.
- Experience with NoSQL database technologies, Prometheus, datalakes, Git, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency using AI in coding and understanding of AI/ML.
- Strong software engineering practices, quality focus, communication skills, English fluency, and ability to collaborate across engineering and non-engineering teams.
- Knowledge of SCRUM, Agile, and Lean software development methodologies.
