Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure APIs, backend logic, and microservices using Python and Django.
- Architect database schemas and optimize PostgreSQL, RDS, Redis, and JSON performance for high-throughput services.
- Integrate backend services with AWS tools including SQS, S3, and Lambda.
- Develop React pages, shell scripts, Python test cases, and related application tooling.
- Design, manage, and scale high-availability Kubernetes EKS clusters on AWS.
- Provision and manage cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure with Terraform.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Concourse, and Jenkins.
- Own Docker image lifecycle and maintain standardized Helm charts across environments.
- Implement logging, tracing, monitoring, and proactive incident-response capabilities.
- Develop Python-based DevOps automation to reduce manual release work.
- Manage development processes, raise and approve Jira tickets, document work, attend cross-functional meetings, and coordinate end-to-end testing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of DevOps experience.
- Senior-level experience with Python, Django ORM, and Django REST Framework.
- Experience with MCP and RAG is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of AWS, including EKS, IAM, VPC, RDS, EC2, and S3; AWS development certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with Terraform for cloud and Kubernetes resource management.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, Concourse, and Jenkins.
- Proven Kubernetes experience with Pods, Services, Ingress, and ConfigMaps.
- Expertise writing secure Dockerfiles and templating with Helm.
- Ability to troubleshoot Jenkins Groovy, Terraform infrastructure, and Django middleware issues.
- Understanding of Kubernetes secrets and IAM roles for secure application and infrastructure management.
- Strong experience with testing frameworks and pre-merge and post-merge scripts.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
- Successful background and reference checks and authorization to work in India are required.
- Must be authorized to access export-controlled technology or be eligible for required export licenses or approvals.
