Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of cloud baseline capabilities covering identity, access, networking, account structure, security, auditability, tagging, inventory, and cost visibility.
- Design and automate cloud infrastructure foundations supporting production Kubernetes clusters.
- Lead infrastructure initiatives involving cloud standardization, cluster lifecycle automation, upgrade strategies, and infrastructure-drift reduction.
- Build reusable platform modules, self-service workflows, documentation, operational standards, and automated guardrails for consuming engineers.
- Improve platform efficiency through capacity planning, rightsizing, autoscaling, resource governance, and cost visibility.
- Mentor engineers, collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, FinOps, and engineering teams, participate in on-call rotation, and lead complex production issue resolution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on production expertise with AWS or GCP and deep practical Kubernetes knowledge.
- Ability to design, build, and operate reliable cloud infrastructure in production.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code and automation skills, ideally with Terraform and Python, Go, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of Linux, networking, distributed systems, and production operations.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives and delivering durable cross-team solutions.
- Awareness of cloud cost drivers, sound judgment for critical production systems, and a platform-oriented approach.
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
- Preferred: experience with multiple public cloud providers, Argo CD, Helm, OPA, Kyverno, GitOps, policy-as-code, cloud migration, platform engineering, FinOps, or large-scale infrastructure transformation.
