Base Salary
$232k - $348k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and own critical systems for route planning and dispatch.
- Design scalable backend services for real-time tracking and route execution.
- Build web interfaces and APIs for dispatchers and fleet managers.
- Implement integrations with TMS/ERP systems processing millions of route events.
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, and engineers across time zones.
- Mentor senior engineers and set technical direction.
- Navigate tradeoffs between speed and long-term quality.
- Champion Samsara’s cultural principles as the company scales.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to execute in ambiguous environments and deliver customer value.
- Strong programming, coding, and design fundamentals.
- Experience designing large, high-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
