Responsibilities
- Analyze and test software features.
- Continuously reassess test strategies based on new information, risks, priorities, and schedules.
- Make framework and technology choices and help set technical direction with management.
- Define, implement, and execute functional, regression, and acceptance test strategies.
- Plan tests, automate testing, set up and tear down test environments, perform exploratory and manual testing, and log and verify defects.
- Define, create, and maintain test data.
- Provide second-level support and troubleshoot existing applications.
- Create automated test cases with developers and product managers and collaborate throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
- Experience testing applications, services, and user interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with test automation and dynamic languages for creating flexible tests.
- Ability to create repeatable and maintainable automated test suites.
- Experience with Java, JRuby, Selenium or equivalent, and defect management systems.
- Experience using Java, JRuby, Selenium, Cucumber, SQL, and NoSQL for UI and server-side test automation.
- Proficiency validating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, software development management, software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
