Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and follow through on security projects independently.
- Apply best practices in software, network, and infrastructure engineering.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget with strong security configurations.
- Review existing deployments for design flaws and advocate for security improvements.
- Collaborate with Cloud Platform, IT, and Product teams to develop tailored security solutions.
- Engage in Data Center and Network Security initiatives to enhance security measures.
- Document findings and conduct threat and risk assessments.
- Develop automation for security aspects of cloud and virtualized deployments.
- Provide metrics on the status of the Cyber Security posture.
- Mentor team members and provide knowledge transfer.
- Contribute to proactive monitoring and analysis of system security issues.
- Develop scripts for automation and security checks.
- Create operational and troubleshooting documentation.
- Consult on security best practices for network management tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience, or 2+ years with a Master's degree.
- Preferably 8+ years of experience as a Data Center/Virtualization and/or Network Security Architect/Engineer.
- 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management.
- High proficiency in cloud/virtualization technologies (AWS/HPC/MAAS).
- Experience with Lustre, Kerberos, and Linux Administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Hands-on experience with patching and hardening various operating systems.
- Proficient in Network Protocols and Firewall Management.
- Strong understanding of Cyber Security Standards (ISO27001, NIST 800-53).
- Experience with Zero Trust Architecture principles is a plus.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
