Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot distributed services and Kubernetes workloads across GCP and AWS.
- Manage ArgoCD GitOps deployments, Kubernetes clusters, resource trees, rollouts, and application synchronization.
- Operate Cloudflare CDN and edge infrastructure for performance, caching, and traffic management.
- Own observability using Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and New Relic, including monitoring, alerting, tracing, and performance analysis.
- Participate in PagerDuty on-call rotations, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Support AI-agent infrastructure for scheduling, trajectory tracking, environment provisioning, deployments, and cost attribution.
- Develop Kubernetes controllers and operators and build internal tools and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with product and backend teams to improve platform scalability, reliability, and team productivity.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software or platform engineering experience with production systems.
- Production proficiency in Go or Python, with daily use of at least one.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying services on Kubernetes and experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Strong networking and DNS fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP, load balancing, DNS resolution, TLS, and connectivity debugging.
- Solid Linux and operating-system fundamentals, including process management, filesystems, memory, systemd, strace, tcpdump, and netstat.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including indexing, query optimization, replication, and backup/restore.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Redis, and caching systems such as Redis or Memcached.
- Hands-on experience with message queues or streaming systems such as Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ and strong SQL skills.
- Familiarity with Helm, Kustomize, cert-manager, ingress controllers, CNI/CSI interfaces, observability stacks, GCP or AWS, and CDN or edge platforms.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes Operators, Kubernetes core-component tuning, AI/LLM infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform or Pulumi, large-scale distributed systems, platform-as-a-service, and startup environments.
