Responsibilities
- Deliver GitLab Professional Services engagements, including installation, migration, training, and advisory services.
- Plan and execute deployments using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code practices.
- Lead migrations from various source systems to GitLab SaaS or self-managed GitLab.
- Partner with Engagement Managers and Project Managers to improve delivery consistency.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers, translating goals into practical implementation plans.
- Interface with GitLab's product and engineering teams to unblock customer outcomes.
- Mentor Associate and Intermediate Professional Services Engineers.
- Manage and deliver multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
Requirements
- Professional exposure to infrastructure as code or configuration as code technologies like Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience with two or more cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience using, deploying, or configuring GitLab with a solid understanding of Git workflows.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and lead other engineers.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote organization.
- Must be located in Japan with full working rights.
