Base Salary
$170k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to analyze processes, workflows, pain points, and opportunities for AI-driven automation.
- Design and rapidly prototype AI-powered solutions, including proofs of concept and minimum viable products.
- Translate business requirements for non-technical stakeholders and core engineering teams.
- Define principled approaches to agentic solution design and create reusable reference solutions.
- Track AI initiative effectiveness and return on investment through key performance indicators.
- Document AI-driven processes and provide training and support to business users.
- Drive adoption and scalability of AI reference solutions across business contexts.
- Mentor future experts and build, develop, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience across software engineering, solution architecture, AI/ML, data engineering, digital transformation, or related disciplines, including direct Forward Deployed Engineer experience.
- Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, natural language processing, and data modeling.
- Ability to understand business challenges and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and analytical problem-solving approach with a record of delivering innovative solutions.
- Prior forward deployed, consulting, or client-facing technical experience is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and associated AI/ML services such as SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML is preferred.
- Familiarity with data engineering, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and large datasets is preferred.
- Knowledge of payments, finance, or operations in financial services is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in an engineering field, or equivalent experience.
