Responsibilities
- Build cloud-scale products with emphasis on efficiency, reliability, performance, and security.
- Build and maintain end-to-end build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to product architecture and design.
- Triage live-site issues, restore service, perform root-cause and trend analysis, and conduct post-mortems.
- Own components and features through requirements, development, testing, deployment, and post-deployment quality and availability.
- Guide and mentor team members and drive broader feature development with a development crew.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; master’s degree and 8+ years of experience is also accepted.
- Equivalent experience may substitute for the stated degree and experience combination.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed cloud services with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Strong operational discipline, including managing live-site health, responding to randomization, and delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively with Software Engineers, Program Managers, and Security experts.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
