Responsibilities
- Design and develop major functional changes and new backend software systems.
- Build and operate high-performance, stable, and scalable production services and APIs.
- Troubleshoot production issues using source code, logs, operational metrics, and stack traces, then identify root causes and improvements.
- Drive engineering best practices, coding standards, operational practices, and technical strategy.
- Make high-impact technical decisions and balance immediate business needs with long-term system design.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve team productivity through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of total software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java or other JVM languages.
- Deep experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservice architectures, and asynchronous communication using technologies such as gRPC and Kafka.
- Ability to implement alerting, metrics, and logging with tools such as Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, and PagerDuty.
- Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Caffeine.
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous, non-blocking, functional, or reactive programming and frameworks such as Spring WebFlux, Vert.x, and Node.js.
- Track record of shipping multiple high-performance, stable, and scalable systems to production.
