
Sr Site Reliability Engineer

- Drive strategies for 24x7 service availability and business continuity for customer-facing healthcare applications hosted on Microsoft Azure.
- Administer Azure virtual machines, databases, networking components, and other cloud resources.
- Define and document operating procedures that maintain security, privacy, and compliance standards.
- Manage disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.
- Define and refine operations SLAs and non-functional requirements.
- Establish infrastructure and application monitoring dashboards and automated notification workflows.
- Define KPIs and standardize reporting for SLAs, availability, capacity, service metrics, and cost utilization.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- Participate in a weekly on-call rotation covering after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience in Site Reliability Engineering managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
- Enterprise engineering experience supporting 24x7 uptime in regulated environments, including product, platform, and systems planning and operations.
- Experience administering and operating Azure using Azure monitoring services.
- Azure certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, are preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud, encryption, IPsec, VLANs, VPNs, routing, WAF/firewalls, proxy services, LAN/WAN connectivity, and advanced security and threat protection.
- Systems administration experience in Windows and Linux environments, including proactive identification of problems and performance bottlenecks.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
- Ability to lead documentation and operational reporting processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
