Responsibilities

  • Design and build reusable platform services, APIs, tooling, automation, and internal developer platform capabilities.
  • Create tested infrastructure, deployment patterns, operational practices, and self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
  • Build secure, resilient, scalable, observable, and cost-effective platform solutions.
  • Implement SLOs, recovery capabilities, security controls, and compliance practices across platforms and delivery pipelines.
  • Diagnose incidents and performance issues and drive continuous operational improvement.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and security teams to identify recurring needs and develop reusable platform capabilities.
  • Influence technical decisions and engineering practices across the team and adjacent engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Experience designing, building, and operating platform or internal developer platform capabilities.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; Kubernetes; Docker; Linux; and networking.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux and CI/CD platforms including GitHub Enterprise and Harness.
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus or OpenTelemetry.
  • Knowledge of API-first and distributed systems design, security engineering, and software supply chain controls.
  • Software engineering capability, ideally using Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
  • Experience building platform software, automation, command-line interfaces, or developer tooling.
  • Strong debugging, reliability, systems-thinking, and end-to-end production support skills.
  • Understanding of AI-native engineering practices, agentic systems, and platforms supporting an AI-powered SDLC.
