Base Salary
$149k - $201k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and automate runtime production environments.
- Serve as the bridge between application development teams and platform teams.
- Validate solutions and implementations against tasks and business requirements.
- Independently identify and solve business problems and develop small platform components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components into a cohesive platform.
- Estimate time and effort for medium-sized tasks and support project planning.
- Use programming languages and shell scripting appropriately for task execution.
- Support security automation, monitoring, performance instrumentation, and cloud-native application delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role focused on system architecture and development.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Google Cloud, and Docker.
- Familiarity with continuous delivery, distributed architectures, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and cloud services.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, or Ansible, plus basic shell scripting knowledge.
- Proficiency with YAML.
- Experience with security automation, API Security, Container Security, and Cloud Security.
- Experience with architecture security design, monitoring, performance instrumentation, system debugging, and reading and writing code.
- Experience working in an Agile, remote team environment and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance or eligibility to apply for one.
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
- Department of Defense experience with a production Authority to Operate (ATO'd) system.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps/DevOps and CI/CD theory.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
