Responsibilities

Assess technical feasibility and scope engagements during the sales cycle, including what can reach production within 8 to 12 weeks.
Own architecture decisions involving model selection, build versus buy, hosting, data residency, inference, identity and access, network isolation, and integration patterns.
Lead architecture reviews and technical escalation across live client pods, intervening on risks to delivery, reliability, cost, and gross margin.
Own the reference architecture and accelerator library and set standards for agent design, evaluation, observability, security, and cost management.
Evaluate new models, frameworks, and tooling and determine what enters the standard technology stack.
Represent the company in client architecture, security, and vendor review boards and write technical proposal and statement-of-work sections.
Mentor GenAI Engineers and Data Engineers through design and code review, interview technical hires, and help define engineering career paths.

10 or more years building and shipping enterprise software, including at least 2 years working on production LLM or agentic systems used by real users.
Track record as the technical owner across multiple concurrent client engagements.
Hands-on capability with Python, AWS, Azure, or GCP; distributed systems; and API and integration design.
Production experience with agent architectures, enterprise-scale retrieval, evaluation, observability, cost-per-task analysis, latency, and AI-system failure modes.
Enterprise architecture experience covering identity and access, security posture, data residency, network isolation, and model hosting options.
Ability to communicate credibly with client CIOs, chief architects, engineers, and commercial stakeholders and to recommend against undeliverable engagements.
Legally entitled to work in Canada and willing to travel to client sites.
Preferred experience includes consultancy or systems-integrator architecture leadership, Field CTO or principal architect work, regulated-industry systems, Guidewire or Duck Creek, self-hosted or open-weight models, fine-tuning, distillation, private inference, reusable accelerators, organizational scaling, published writing, conference talks, or open-source work.

Initially employed by Bits In Glass while working on ConveneAI projects, with an expected 12–18 month transition to a permanent ConveneAI position subject to business requirements and transition arrangements.
Meaningful equity and direct collaboration with ConveneAI founders and senior AI operators.
Opportunity to define architecture standards and influence delivery across multiple industries and engagements.
Work includes travel to client sites.
