Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver maintainable, safe, and concurrent embedded applications using Rust.
- Derive, document, and execute detailed low-level software designs from system and functional requirements.
- Develop embedded subsystems running on Embedded Linux and RTOS environments.
- Perform unit and integration testing, peer code reviews, documentation, deployment, and manufacturing support.
- Make performance, memory, and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements.
- Document, track, and resolve software defects through a bug tracking system.
- Collaborate with platform technical leads and cross-functional engineering and systems engineering teams.
- Mentor and guide engineers who are new to embedded software development or Rust.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience.
- Experience developing software for Embedded Linux.
- Strong proficiency in Rust.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, or containerd.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into clear, maintainable low-level software designs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach and mentor junior engineers.
- Preferred: experience building products with Yocto, managing Kconfig, modifying device trees, and debugging kernel drivers.
- Preferred: proficiency with C, C++, or Python.
- Preferred: development experience with Zephyr RTOS.
- Preferred: experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
