Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build AWS GovCloud infrastructure with FedRAMP and FISMA compliance, network security, and platform operations across multiple environments.
- Establish PostgreSQL infrastructure covering performance optimization, backups and recovery, replication, high availability, and security hardening.
- Create Chef infrastructure-as-code cookbooks, recipes, roles, environments, and automation frameworks for repeatable deployments.
- Configure Google SAML-based application access controls, identity management, and secure authentication.
- Deploy and administer Tableau Server or other BI infrastructure, including installation, performance optimization, user management, and authentication integration.
- Architect multi-environment infrastructure with network segmentation, security boundaries, environment isolation, and promotion workflows.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, runbooks, operational standards, and disaster recovery procedures for infrastructure and data pipelines.
- Monitor, triage, and resolve data pipeline, database, infrastructure, and access incidents.
- Partner with security, compliance, DevOps, and data engineering teams on government security requirements, CI/CD, testing, orchestration, and deployment automation.
- Use AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of infrastructure engineering and operations experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience.
- Experience taking greenfield cloud infrastructure projects from design through production deployment.
- Strong PostgreSQL administration experience with performance tuning, replication, backup and recovery, security configuration, and high availability.
- Strong Python programming skills for automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational scripting.
- Hands-on Chef experience creating and maintaining cookbooks, recipes, roles, and environments.
- Experience with enterprise identity and access management, Google SAML integration, and SSO implementations.
- Experience administering Tableau Server or another BI application, including installation, configuration, performance, security, and user management.
- Understanding of multi-environment infrastructure, network architecture, security boundaries, firewall management, VPC configuration, and secure architecture patterns.
- Proficiency with Bash and Ruby scripting, infrastructure monitoring and observability tools, CI/CD platforms, and Git.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Security clearance eligibility or ability to obtain government security clearance; applicants must be US citizens or permanent residents.
- Candidates must be able to pass additional government-required background and fingerprint checks.
