Responsibilities

Design and train high-performance computer vision models for automated damage detection.
Architect and maintain high-throughput, containerized microservices for low-latency model serving using REST/gRPC.
Translate stakeholder inspection requirements into scalable, production-grade machine learning solutions.
Own the end-to-end model lifecycle from experimentation and design through deployment and optimization.
Design and maintain Kafka-based streaming data pipelines for model serving and inference.
Design visual data annotation pipelines and evaluation frameworks for complex image datasets.
Optimize high-latency models for real-time inference and production workloads.
Lead or contribute to technical design reviews.

Graduate education (MS or PhD) in a computationally intensive domain or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of computer vision experience.
Advanced proficiency with PyTorch, OpenCV, TensorFlow, Python, and SQL.
Experience designing and maintaining visual data annotation pipelines and evaluation frameworks for complex, real-world image datasets.
Experience optimizing high-latency models for real-time inference.
Backend software engineering experience in AWS or GCP, including Docker-based microservices and the machine learning model development lifecycle.
Experience building and maintaining Kafka streaming data pipelines for real-time model serving.
Preferred experience with Kubeflow, Databricks, and KServe.
Preferred experience leading technical design reviews.
