Base Salary

$140k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Scope the architecture for the perception system supporting the autonomy software suite
  • Research, adapt, train, evaluate, optimize, and deploy perception algorithms
  • Design machine learning algorithms and optimize existing models for edge computing
  • Develop methods for predicting the relative pose of dynamic space targets in challenging visual environments
  • Integrate perception models into mission simulations and real-time autonomy pipelines
  • Design realistic sensor models and digital twins to improve perception fidelity
  • Own perception tooling, model-training infrastructure, and evaluation frameworks
  • Collaborate with autonomy, estimation, and mission software teams on perception fidelity, performance, and scalability

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in AI/ML, computer science, robotics, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in machine learning, robotics, computer vision, or a related field
  • Excellent software engineering skills in C++ and Python
  • Strong deep neural network and machine learning experience with OpenCV, CUDA-accelerated vision, and PCL
  • Understanding of modern perception systems and their architecture
  • Experience developing and deploying machine learning models to real-time systems
  • Experience with RADAR, electro-optical sensors, RF sensors, or LIDAR is preferred
  • Experience with feature extraction, segmentation, filtering, stereo matching, 3D reconstruction, and target classification is preferred
  • Experience optimizing neural networks and geometric algorithms with CUDA kernels, TensorRT, or other GPU acceleration frameworks is preferred
  • Experience with distributed training and AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred
  • Experience with Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred
  • Understanding of networking and communication protocols for distributed autonomy systems
  • Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations
