Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scope architecture for the perception system core to Lodestar’s autonomy software suite.
- Research and adapt novel perception algorithms from literature review to deployment.
- Design and develop machine learning algorithms and optimize existing models for edge computing.
- Develop methods for predicting the relative pose of dynamic space targets.
- Integrate perception models into mission simulation environments and real-time autonomy pipelines.
- Contribute to the design of realistic sensor models and digital twins.
- Own perception tooling, model training infrastructure, and evaluation frameworks.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure perception fidelity and performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI/ML, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning, robotics, or computer vision.
- Excellent software engineering skills in C++ and Python.
- Strong background in deep neural networks and experience with computer vision libraries.
- Broad understanding of modern perception systems and their architecture.
- Experience developing and deploying ML models to real-time systems.
