Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems for processing petabytes of data.
- Improve algorithms for scheduling load on clusters of thousands of machines.
- Enhance system performance guarantees in a multi-tenant architecture.
- Contribute to re-architecting internal message processing technology.
- Manage exabytes of data using technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to identify requirements and architect solutions.
Requirements
- B.S. or higher in Computer Sciences or related discipline; M.S. is a plus.
- 2+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery.
- Experience developing scalable distributed data processing solutions.
- Experience in multi-threaded programming.
- Experience in running large, scalable distributed services with microservice architecture.
- Hands-on object-oriented programming experience (e.g., Java, Scala).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations approximately every 6-8 weeks.
