Responsibilities
- Develop scalable Python-based microservices that process data streams using streaming, messaging, and REST technologies.
- Design and implement solutions for market and credit counterparty risk platforms.
- Use advanced Python features, asynchronous operations, multithreading, and multiprocessing.
- Architect solutions with Consul, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.
- Create and optimize database models for SQL, MongoDB, and key-value stores.
- Build and maintain testing frameworks with Behave and PyTest.
- Develop and deploy cloud-native applications in AWS.
- Lead messaging, streaming, and REST API integration while ensuring high-performance and consistent deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver financial systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of commercial-grade software development experience with complex applications.
- Strong expertise in Python, including advanced language features, asynchronous operations, and object-oriented and functional programming principles.
- Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Experience in capital markets and asset classes.
- In-depth knowledge of microservices architecture and data modeling.
- Expertise in messaging, streaming, and REST API development.
- Familiarity with Consul, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.
- Excellent spoken and written English at C1+ level.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with market and credit counterparty risk platforms is highly desirable.
