Base Salary
$118k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a conduit between Global Architecture and engineering or development teams.
- Collaborate with architects across different organizations and introduce or train teams on new technology.
- Lead teams in troubleshooting and resolving complex project issues while coordinating necessary resources.
- Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the business.
- Develop alternatives and solutions while identifying risks, impacts, and schedule adjustments for management decisions.
- Drive technical direction and architecture evolution through reviews and hands-on leadership.
- Monitor system health, design proposals to address negative trends, and identify components suitable for shared infrastructure.
- Research industry and technology advancements and build alliances to advance technical opportunities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software, network, or systems engineering.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Expert-level knowledge of one or more programming languages or an engineering discipline.
- Expertise in a plurality of parallel and distributed processing, information retrieval, data mining, natural language processing, very large-scale database, declarative language, and high-performance computing technologies.
- Working knowledge of network design, storage system architectures, service-oriented architecture technologies, XML and XSLT, and parallel processing architectures.
- Experience with a plurality of Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, and z/OS operating systems.
- Strong organization, project planning, time management, change management, delegation, problem-solving, research, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Experience leading teams, diagnosing complex project issues, translating findings into solutions, and communicating with clients, management, and executive stakeholders.
