Responsibilities

  • Drive technical sales with decision makers through demos and proofs of concept that influence solution design and enable production deployments.
  • Lead hands-on hackathons and architecture workshops to accelerate adoption of Microsoft cloud platforms.
  • Build trusted relationships with platform leads and co-design secure, scalable architectures and solutions.
  • Resolve technical blockers and objections while collaborating with engineering teams to share customer insights and improve products.
  • Maintain expertise across Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview, Azure Databases, on-premises data warehouses, Hadoop, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Represent Microsoft through thought leadership in cloud database and analytics communities and customer forums.

Requirements

  • A master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or a bachelor's degree in those fields plus 6+ years, or 7+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred: 8+ years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, technology delivery, or related experience.
  • Preferred: 6+ years working with cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure, architecture design, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Relevant certifications such as Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, cloud platform technologies, information security, or architecture are preferred.
  • Expertise in Azure Databases, including SQL DB, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL, for migration, modernization, and new AI applications is preferred.
  • Expertise in Azure Analytics, including Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview, data warehouses, data lakes, big data, real-time intelligence, reporting, and integrated data security and governance, is preferred.
  • Experience with competing platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake is preferred.
  • Ability to lead technical engagements such as hackathons, proofs of concept, and MVPs that produce production-scale outcomes is preferred.
  • Experience with data warehouse and big data migration involving Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, Hadoop, Cloudera, Hortonworks, and Azure Synapse Gen2 is preferred.
