Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain features and services across the object-storage portfolio, including S3-compatible APIs, distributed metadata, deployment tooling, and platform subsystems.
- Write modular code with unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
- Diagnose and resolve complex defects, performance bottlenecks, and reliability issues in distributed storage components.
- Support customer escalations and sustaining work through root-cause analysis, fixes, and verification.
- Improve automated test frameworks for functional, performance, and scale testing.
- Contribute to CI/CD, security and CVE remediation, observability, technical documentation, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- About 2–5 years of professional software development experience, ideally with enterprise software, distributed systems, or storage.
- Strong programming skills in at least one of Java, Go, Python, or C/C++.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix and scripting with Bash or Python.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures.
- Understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, cloud storage protocols, and especially the AWS S3 API.
- Exposure to PostgreSQL or YugabyteDB and Git-based CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred experience includes enterprise storage, S3 features, Prometheus, Grafana, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, OAuth2/OIDC, WARP, containerized test harnesses, release engineering, and storage security.
