Responsibilities

  • Guide and assist others with technical designs and build consensus among peers.
  • Design and implement deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Develop and implement availability, reliability, scalability, and related solutions for applications.
  • Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
  • Resolve complex problems with technical experts, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Use service level indicators and objectives to proactively resolve issues before customer impact.
  • Support adoption of site reliability engineering best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Formal training and/or certification in software engineering and at least 3+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency in site reliability culture, principles, and implementation within applications or platforms.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
  • Knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or Android.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containers and container orchestration, including ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
  • Ability to recognize roadblocks proactively and interest in learning technologies that facilitate innovation.
