Responsibilities
- Define customer strategy as a key member of Stripe account teams.
- Identify and close complex opportunities and accelerate solution adoption.
- Advise CIOs, CTOs, COOs, CROs, CDOs, product engineering leaders, and payments leaders.
- Understand customer objectives and design Stripe solutions, transformation journeys, roadmaps, and architectures with third-party integrations.
- Lead customer discovery, executive briefings, presentations, workshops, solution demonstrations, and strategy engagements.
- Expand Stripe adoption into new global markets and business units through new capabilities and local payment methods.
- Bring customer insights, trends, and opportunities to Stripe leadership, product, and engineering teams.
- Participate in sales forecasting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and account and territory planning.
- Travel approximately 25% to meet users and collaborate internally.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in a similar customer-facing engineering role, such as solution consultant, solutions architect, or sales engineer, for a global software enterprise.
- 7+ years of experience in presales.
- Experience in payments, billing, invoicing, issuing, banking, or fintech.
- Demonstrated executive engagement, relationship-building, group facilitation, and customer meeting leadership skills.
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and API architectures.
- Strong spoken and written English communication, presentation, and ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and drive ownership and change.
- Ability to travel as required by the business.
- Preferred experience in Media and Entertainment, Gaming, Retail, or Financial Services.
- Prior consulting experience is preferred.
- Experience at a growth-stage internet or software company is preferred.
- Coding experience in Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or Go is a plus.
