Responsibilities
- Analyze client needs and develop software solutions within an agile team.
- Design and develop reusable application UI and backend components using Java and related technologies.
- Maintain and support existing software applications.
- Write database queries and stored procedures and perform performance tuning.
- Analyze requirements with minimal guidance and independently complete coding and unit testing.
- Anticipate critical issues and risks and take responsibility for resolving them across the organization.
- Estimate task duration and complexity and report progress and risks to team leads.
- Collaborate with technical teams, SQA, business analysts, production support, and client support.
- Prepare system documentation as needed.
Requirements
- 10+ years of development experience using Java/J2EE or related technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of Java 8+ and JEE technologies, including concurrency and JDBC.
- Experience with React, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Git, and MQ/Kafka.
- Familiarity with Linux and experience with data modeling and database development.
- Bachelor of Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Strong programming, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and learning skills.
- Financial markets domain knowledge, including derivatives, equities, fixed income mathematics, asset classes, market data, settlement, and clearing, is preferred.
- Cloud development, Azure/AWS, Tomcat Server, Veracode, and Black Duck experience are preferred.
