
Software Engineer II
Cox AutomotiveResponsibilities
- Develop and maintain reusable reporting components, dashboards, and data visualization features within LOGI.
- Build interactive user experiences using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java and/or Python.
- Create and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analytics solutions.
- Work with Snowflake datasets and data sources to deliver accurate and performant reporting experiences.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams on scalable solutions.
- Support the migration of reporting capabilities from MicroStrategy to LOGI.
- Contribute to data integration and ETL processes.
- Deploy and support cloud-native applications in AWS environments.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in rotational on-call duties outside standard business hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 2 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with up to 2 years of experience, or 14 years of related experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience developing applications with React.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience developing backend services with Java and/or Python.
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Understanding of software development best practices, testing methodologies, and CI/CD concepts.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and ownership skills.
- Preferred experience with AWS EKS, reporting or business intelligence platforms such as LOGI, MicroStrategy, Power BI, or Tableau, data pipelines, ETL, data integration, Snowflake, large-scale cloud data platforms, and containerized cloud-native architectures.
