Responsibilities
- Create technical designs from business requirements, including data models and data architecture.
- Direct and support a 10–13-person offshore engineering resource group and own software delivery outcomes.
- Provide developers and QA with tools, documentation, and test plans needed to execute designs.
- Conduct design signoff sessions and establish a productive, well-documented development environment.
- Set milestones, estimates, and timelines in partnership with Product Managers.
- Identify and communicate risks, delays, and roadblocks and work toward solutions.
- Collaborate with the team on business objectives and produce designs that offshore developers can implement independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar position or equivalent skills, with increasing responsibility.
- Experience analyzing and designing or building complex processes with little or no supervision.
- Experience with enterprise applications, including ERP and EAM.
- Understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, database design, SQL queries, and network protocols.
- Ability to apply accounting, tax, and budgeting domain knowledge to design decisions.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business is preferred.
- Project or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with capital projects, capital budgets, fixed asset accounting, or business tax software is preferred.
- Experience delivering enterprise-level software applications, including ERP and EAM, is preferred.
