Responsibilities
- Design and implement tools that improve availability, latency, scalability, and system health.
- Define SLIs and SLOs, manage error budgets, and lead performance engineering efforts.
- Build and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, and remediation pipelines.
- Partner with engineering, platform, and product teams to improve reliability by design.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and blameless postmortems.
- Promote observability through logs, metrics, and traces.
- Contribute to infrastructure architecture, automation, disaster recovery, and reliability roadmaps.
- Advocate for SRE practices across teams and functions.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering roles.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong coding proficiency and ability to develop clear, efficient, well-structured code.
- In-depth Linux expertise for system administration and advanced troubleshooting.
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
- Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, compliance, infrastructure as code, and automation.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, tracing, observability, chaos engineering, and production reliability.
- Experience building and scaling production services with 99.99%+ uptime targets.
- Track record of reducing incident frequency and improving MTTD and MTTR.
- Strong communication, analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
