Responsibilities
- Ship user-facing mobile features end-to-end from design handoff through release.
- Build new experiences and enhance workflows in Thumbtack’s customer- and professional-facing applications.
- Work across iOS and Android as needed, using agentic tools and frontier models to accelerate delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to scope, build, and iterate on features.
- Support experimentation, metrics instrumentation, data-driven iteration, and post-launch feature support.
Requirements
- Fluency with either Android or iOS development.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android or Swift and SwiftUI on iOS.
- At least 6 years of industry software experience, including significant consumer-facing mobile development.
- Strong product sense and the ability to translate product and design requirements into technical implementations and UX tradeoffs.
- Experience owning features through their full lifecycle, including experimentation, metrics instrumentation, iteration, and post-launch support.
- Ability to navigate app store review, OS version support, and device fragmentation.
