Base Salary
$230k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, investment professionals, and technology teams to accelerate research, model development, and product delivery.
- Design, build, and support scalable data pipelines, research platforms, analytical platforms, and data storage architectures.
- Develop quantitative applications, data models, integration solutions, visualization tools, exploratory analytics, and decision-support capabilities.
- Support quantitative research workflows including data acquisition, model development, backtesting, validation, deployment, and productionization.
- Implement data governance, lineage tracking, monitoring, data quality controls, reliability, reproducibility, security, and supportability standards.
- Lead complex technical initiatives, build reusable platforms and shared services, influence technology strategy, and mentor engineers and researchers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience developing quantitative applications, research platforms, or data-intensive solutions using Python or similar languages such as R, Julia, or MATLAB.
- Experience working directly with quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, or investment professionals.
- Experience designing scalable data pipelines, analytical platforms, data models, data integration solutions, and data storage architectures.
- Knowledge of quantitative research workflows including data acquisition, model development, backtesting, validation, and deployment.
- Experience with data visualization, analytical tools, data governance, lineage tracking, monitoring, and data quality controls.
- Experience with source control, automated testing, containerization, CI/CD, and deployment automation.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, strong communication, adaptability, analytical thinking, and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, experience productionizing quantitative models, building reusable platforms and libraries, applying AI/ML or generative AI, using distributed computing or cloud-native technologies, and mentoring technical professionals.
