Base Salary
$215k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions that support regulatory needs and customer experiences.
- Stay current with technology trends, experiment with emerging technologies, and mentor engineering community members.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify improvement opportunities, reduce technical debt, and optimize system performance.
- Influence long-term technology strategy in a you-build-it-you-own-it environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree, 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, and experience with databases, cloud platforms, open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, and observability.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
- Preferred: at least 1 year mentoring engineers and driving professional development, plus experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts and establishing coding standards and design patterns.
