Responsibilities
- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software subsystems.
- Analyze designs and determine required coding, programming, and integration activities.
- Write and execute testing plans, protocols, and documentation; debug code and integration issues.
- Lead project teams and internal or outsourced development partners in delivering reliable software solutions.
- Collaborate with management and development partners on software design status, project progress, and issue resolution.
- Represent the software engineering team on larger and more complex development projects.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Golang and Python.
- Strong working experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
- Understanding of distributed systems, event-driven programming, scalability, and performance design.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Understanding of software development workflows and version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of Apache Flink, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of data centers and networking.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, learning, and adaptation skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 5–8 years of experience.
