Base Salary

$126k - $224k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical direction and architecture of complex Global Patient Safety initiatives.
  • Lead reliable and performant data and solution integration across Patient Safety systems, data products, and adjacent enterprise platforms.
  • Develop architecture roadmaps, technical standards, integration patterns, and reference architectures.
  • Research and apply AI/ML, agentic workflows, intelligent automation, and AI-assisted engineering capabilities.
  • Drive modernization, technical-debt reduction, fault tolerance, observability, recoverability, and secure-by-design practices.
  • Serve as Technical System Owner for Global Patient Safety systems, accountable for technical lifecycle, validated state, and compliance.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects and guide developers, configuration analysts, and integration and support teams.
  • Share data, integration, and security expertise and partner with Software Product Engineering, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure & Digital Core.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in IT architecture, systems integration, or technical lead roles.
  • At least 5 years of software or systems engineering experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale solutions for a Patient Safety organization with clear technical ownership.
  • Experience with Good Pharmacovigilance Practices, Good Clinical Practice, or a regulated GxP environment in pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare settings.
  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating AI or agentic capabilities into operational systems.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, middleware, ETL, data mapping, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Safety systems such as Veeva Safety or Oracle Argus.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, event-driven architecture, and Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional influencing skills.
