Responsibilities
- Build the best solution for sharded Postgres, known as Neki.
- Design and build critical systems for PlanetScale's database platform.
- Collaborate with expert engineers to solve complex distributed systems challenges.
- Work independently to address engineering and business problems.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems and database engines.
- Strong proficiency in Go, with experience in Python or C++.
- Experience in developing and operating PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other databases.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale.
