Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Python code for Generative AI applications.
- Integrate GenAI APIs such as OpenAI and Gemini to build application features and products.
- Implement and optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation systems.
- Develop and deploy backend services using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and follow software development best practices.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
- Lead application systems analysis and programming activities, resolve complex technical problems, and define system enhancements.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Optionally use cloud container orchestration services such as OpenShift ECS and work with Lightspeed.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Python.
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI concepts and technologies.
- Experience using GenAI APIs such as OpenAI and Gemini.
- Practical experience implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation systems.
- Expertise in at least one of FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, version control, testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, independent-work, teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
