Responsibilities
- Build and scale Wise’s recommendation platform and customer reward mechanisms.
- Develop systems, APIs, and product experiences for referral, onboarding, and customer recommendation journeys.
- Own customer problems and projects end to end, driving them toward measurable goals.
- Collaborate daily with product managers, data scientists, data analysts, engineers, designers, and other product teams.
- Write testable code and apply unit and integration testing strategies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team culture and process improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Java, Kotlin, or another JVM-based language.
- Strong experience with the Spring framework, relational databases, distributed systems, concurrent systems, and Kafka.
- Experience with testing strategies including unit testing and integration testing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently, take end-to-end ownership, and make data-driven, customer-focused decisions.
- A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience.
