Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack business applications.
  • Build and maintain scalable APIs, web applications, and data solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and other Agile ceremonies.
  • Promote engineering best practices, code quality, automation, CI/CD, and automated testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions.
  • Conduct technical investigations and proof-of-concepts to mitigate risks.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and support materials.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in C#/.NET, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
  • Advanced SQL Server experience, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and relational database design.
  • Experience with REST APIs, Web API, MVC, and modern web frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native development using Azure and/or PCF.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum practices, and automated testing.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or insurance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferred experience with .NET Core, Python, or Java Spring Boot.
  • Preferred knowledge of Airflow, CA WA, ETL processes, and Informatica.
  • Preferred experience with Power BI, Spotfire, Datawatch, or other visualization tools.
  • Preferred exposure to streaming technologies such as Tibco StreamBase and knowledge of market practices and regulatory requirements.

Benefits

  • Hybrid work arrangement in Toronto, Ontario.
  • Salary range of $113,000.00 CAD to $163,000.00 CAD annually, excluding incentive compensation.
