Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain microservices using event-driven patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Contribute to application design, architecture decisions, and technical best practices.
- Support high availability, performance, and reliability for mission-critical platforms.
- Work with cloud-based and distributed systems to develop scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with stakeholders and provide constructive technical feedback.
- Own deliverables in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
- Use Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot to accelerate development while reviewing AI-generated output.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on Java experience; Java 21 is preferred.
- Proven experience building microservices-based architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
- Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Understanding of application design, software development best practices, cloud-based architectures, and distributed systems.
- Experience supporting high-availability, mission-critical systems.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
- Preferred: experience with reactive programming or frameworks, AWS or other cloud platforms, and AI concepts including LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or prompt engineering.
