Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and APIs for DRM and content configuration.
- Design and improve video-processing systems involving scheduling, state machines, and processing tasks.
- Design and improve the video-upload system with emphasis on performance, cost control, and resilience.
- Analyze Big Data challenges involving multiple petabytes of video.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to the video platform.
- Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, scrum masters, and backend engineers.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in backend architecture and development, including backend services and automated testing.
- Strong object-oriented design skills and proficiency in one or more of PHP, Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with Docker or Podman for containerization.
- Strong experience building REST APIs.
- Experience with SQL databases; NoSQL experience with technologies such as MongoDB or Cassandra is a plus.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, ideally AWS.
- French proficiency is required for daily team communication.
- English proficiency at B2 level is required for documentation, presentations, and meetings.
- Interest or initial experience in video is beneficial but not required.
- Interest in implementing and integrating LLM-based capabilities is beneficial.
