Responsibilities
- Design and build production services and RESTful or asynchronous APIs in Python using FastAPI or a comparable framework.
- Develop corresponding frontend capabilities using Angular or a comparable JavaScript framework.
- Build and integrate platform features using AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and EKS.
- Integrate with the Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol as needed.
- Contribute to AI governance capabilities involving explainability, observability, and prevention.
- Own feature and component design, including technical approaches, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Mentor engineers and review code and designs to improve engineering quality.
- Participate in estimation and challenge scope, assumptions, and estimates when appropriate.
Requirements
- Strong demonstrated experience shipping production software, with engineering depth prioritized over GenAI-specific background.
- Daily hands-on experience with an AI coding tool such as Claude Code, AWS Kiro, OpenAI Codex, or a comparable tool.
- Proficiency in Python and full-stack development using FastAPI or a comparable Python web framework, Angular or a comparable JavaScript framework, and PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
- Working knowledge of AWS services including Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, and EKS.
- Demonstrable exposure to LangChain, LangGraph, or a comparable agentic framework.
- Ability to design solutions from problem statements rather than only implementing fully specified designs.
- Baseline AI literacy, including understanding AI, identifying useful scenarios, directing AI, evaluating outputs, and using AI responsibly.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with the Anthropic Claude API and Model Context Protocol, systems involving explainability, observability, or guardrails, and balancing delivery speed with production quality.
- Familiarity with Docker and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for deploying services to EKS or Lambda.
