Base Salary
$210k - $255k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale core platform services from greenfield projects to production systems.
- Provide technical oversight on edge software and review existing agent architectures.
- Develop and maintain lightweight, high-reliability agents for customer VMs.
- Instrument low-level system metrics using eBPF and procfs.
- Own agent packaging and deployment via Helm charts.
- Design and evolve the pull scraping logic for metrics collection.
- Collaborate with Control Plane, Storage, and SRE teams for reliable data feeds.
- Serve as a technical bridge between Managed Platform Services and infrastructure teams.
- Set patterns and frameworks for the team and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, and/or Shell scripting.
- Experience with Linux kernel metrics and working at the procfs level.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and Helm chart deployment.
- On-call experience in a customer-facing team.
- Design for crash safety, low resource footprint, and graceful degradation.
- Plan for system scalability and resiliency under traffic growth.
- Lead cross-domain efforts and coach engineers across teams.
- Proactive communication and stakeholder management skills.
