Responsibilities
- Design, develop, improve, and deliver high-quality software solutions for banking applications.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, secure, and performance-optimized code using appropriate languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Identify business requirements and develop solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Support mission-critical, complex systems in a large IT organization, including systems with extensive batch processing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and other functions to define requirements and integrate solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, promote code quality and knowledge sharing, and implement effective unit testing.
- Manage risk, strengthen controls, and contribute to policies and procedures supporting governance.
- Lead or guide collaborative assignments, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex information.
- Support strategic technology objectives and contribute to technology communities and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum eight years of application development experience, including at least five years using Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications or products.
- Experience supporting complex mission-critical systems in a large IT organization and support environment.
- Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq script; Avaloq knowledge is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of at least one banking product and experience with Avaloq or another core banking solution such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, ServiceNow, and Agile is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge and a proven track record in the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of banking applications and in-depth knowledge of functional modules such as securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, or payments.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Leadership experience in Private Banking IT delivery programs is highly valued.
- Ability to demonstrate risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and role-specific technical skills.
