Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and support scalable distributed web applications and core value-stream software components.
- Build production-grade AI-enabled applications using LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, retrieval systems, machine learning services, and foundation models.
- Establish AI development lifecycle practices covering prompt management, evaluation frameworks, observability, governance, and operational excellence.
- Participate in architecture reviews, technical discussions, roadmap planning, technology evaluation, and Domain-Driven Design initiatives.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, data professionals, designers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business goals into technical requirements.
- Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, promote knowledge sharing, and support professional development across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree is required; a master’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining 100,000+ lines of code in multi-tier distributed web applications using Python, JavaScript, React, Node, Ruby, Ruby on Rails, J2EE, and other web technologies.
- 5+ years of experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining JSON APIs.
- 2+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience in production environments.
- Extensive knowledge of microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, and data modeling.
- Experience incorporating AI-enabled capabilities, intelligent automation, analytics, or machine learning into business applications.
- Experience with model evaluation, prompt engineering, AI observability tooling, cloud-native architectures, and highly available mission-critical systems is preferred.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, evaluating emerging technologies, and influencing architectural direction is preferred.
