Responsibilities

  • Deploy, roll back, and manage containerized applications through ArgoCD and GitOps workflows.
  • Investigate and resolve infrastructure, operating system, application, and network alerts.
  • Diagnose connectivity and latency issues across cloud VPCs and Kubernetes networking layers.
  • Troubleshoot CPU, memory, storage, and other operating system issues on GKE worker nodes.
  • Use AIOps tools to interpret correlated events, detect anomalies, and identify potential root causes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and mitigate production incidents using Grafana dashboards and AIOps recommendations.
  • Write automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Go.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with ArgoCD and Git version control systems.
  • Comprehensive networking knowledge, including HTTP/S, DNS, gRPC, SSL/TLS, TCP, UDP, IP routing, CIDR, subnetting, ICMP, and Kubernetes networking.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of Linux internals, process management, file systems, and kernel parameters, including Ubuntu, Debian, or Container-Optimized OS.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as tcpdump, curl, dig, traceroute, top, and iostat.
  • Familiarity with AIOps concepts including event correlation, anomaly detection, automated noise reduction, and log-based machine learning models.
  • Foundational experience with the Grafana Labs ecosystem, including Grafana, Mimir or Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.
  • Functional knowledge of deploying, scaling, and managing workloads in GKE.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex microservice and operating system issues and prioritize alerts by business impact.
  • Clear written and verbal communication during incident response.
