Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery with customers and clarify integration needs, API requirements, and system dependencies.
- Translate customer workflows and business goals into solution architectures, configuration options, and implementation plans.
- Deliver technical demos, walkthroughs, and light proofs of concept for customer-specific use cases.
- Advise customers on API authentication, rate limits, endpoints, performance, error handling, and data-flow design.
- Support security posture discussions, security questionnaires, risk assessments, and compliance conversations.
- Partner with sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams on proposals, technical issues, roadmap input, and post-sale handoffs.
- Create architecture diagrams, solution documentation, configuration guidance, FAQs, and reusable solution playbooks.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a Solution Consultant, Sales Engineer, Solution Architect, Technical Account Manager, or similar pre-sales technical role.
- Strong understanding of API concepts, RESTful design, authentication patterns, integration workflows, and common error handling.
- Ability to conduct technical discovery and translate customer requirements into integration architecture.
- Knowledge of security practices including encryption, data residency, identity and access management, and network controls.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on familiarity with SaaS platforms, cloud technologies, or AI/ML-driven solutions.
- Ability to create architectural diagrams, solution documentation, or configuration guidelines.
- Preferred experience with AI, API-first, or developer-centric products.
- Preferred familiarity with scripting, JSON payloads, and light troubleshooting.
- Preferred knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and enterprise security standards.
- Experience with SMBs or high-velocity sales teams is preferred.
