Responsibilities
- Develop cloud data-services provisioning automation with IAM, network, security-policy-as-code, observability, resiliency, and FinOps capabilities.
- Deploy, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Deploy and maintain EKS clusters and support scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant Kubernetes applications.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, applications, and services; respond to alerts and incidents through resolution.
- Perform cloud network and security administration, provisioning, optimization, and third-party software support.
- Conduct infrastructure health checks, monitor resource utilization, and contribute to capacity planning.
- Provide infrastructure support to end users, including access, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting assistance.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and maintain incident, system-change, automation, and platform-configuration documentation.
- Monitor and remediate operating-system and container vulnerabilities and security updates.
- Analyze AWS utilization and implement cost-saving measures such as rightsizing, reserved instances, and autoscaling.
- Configure alerts and anomaly detection for system performance, security threats, and cost spikes.
- Partner with developers and stakeholders to engineer, optimize, support, and maintain cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- 0 to 2 years of total experience, including training or experience with AWS.
- Training and AWS certification or experience with AWS, EKS, and related cloud infrastructure.
- Minimum four-year degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Mandatory knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Knowledge of AWS services, cloud-native security, monitoring and logging tools, observability, and performance monitoring technologies.
- Knowledge of container orchestration, CI/CD methodologies, cloud provisioning, and configuration tools including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Packer, and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience working in Linux environments and thorough knowledge of Hadoop and its ecosystem architecture.
- Understanding of end-to-end applications hosted on Kubernetes, including scalability, high availability, and fault tolerance.
- Ability to participate in 24x7 on-call rotations.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
